A perfect Saturday.

What a fantastic end to a near-perfect week of RC aircraft flying. SMAC members represented the club at two events this weekend: the Dayton Air Show and the giant scale fly-in at the LARKS flying club near Delphos, Oh. We also had a relaxing morning at the field- and perfect weather.

There were many different types of model flying today, as usual. However, Rick S. flew a classic fabric covered Four-Star 120 that stood out from the other models. It was built by Dave S., who was also flying today.

If you are checking out our web site because you met some of our members at events today, we welcome you to join our club. Our members range from spectators to semi-professional hobbyists, and we appreciate all types of flying models. Our introductory membership is only $20; you can find more information about the club on the various pages of this website, including when and where the club meetings are.

Here are some photos from today's flying at SMAC field- Enjoy.

Dave's D-18. Not to be confused with Mike's D-18.

Donnie cruising with the Super Cub.

Loading up for a sortie over the dreaded beans.

Dave's B-24 has ample power and looks great on the ground and in the air.

Rick S.'s Four Star 120.

Ken did an awesome job flying today.

Rick's other plane, a Timber.

So- I have about 50 nice pics of this plane from today. On his last flight, Rick really had his flying dialed in and I snapped some great shots.
