Recent Sightings

Greetings, model aviation fans! Here are a few aircraft sightings from the past week at SMAC field:

Rick B. (aka Dr. Balsa) took Richard B.'s (I know, confusing, right?) beautiful Spad XIII on a check flight. This is another example of Richard's envious collection of giant-scale WWI aircraft. The Spad is the second model that Dr. Balsa has recently checked out. The Spad flies excellent, he reported, only needing a few clicks of trim.

On Thursday, the Electric Company (aka Jim and Steve) filled the ramp with their eclectic array of electric-powered models. Of particular note was the return of Steve's Buzzard Bombshell (the fifth incarnation), complete with a radio tracking device in case the plane is lured into the corn.
