From the workshop of Dr. Balsa

Dr. Balsa has been busy in his workshop lately, with three projects underway:

RADIAL! This is a Ziroli Corsair that came with a Saito nitro-to-gas conversion 75 cc radial engine. Rick has since sold the radial and plans to swap it out with a UMS gas radial. 

The Corsair has a color scheme that is begging for a Reno Racer treatment. Wouldn't sunburst stripes and a large number on the side be cool, or- some kind of sponsor logo down the side, like GULF or GOODYEAR?

On the other side of the shop, a fiberglass A-1 Skyraider fuselage is awaiting its engine. It probably won't be long until we will see this aircraft at the field, since Rick has finished assembling the third of his projects– a gas-powered Hangar 9 Valiant, commissioned by one of our SMAC members.
