Turbine Operations Suspended

 

Due to continuing drought conditions, the club voted at tonight's business meeting to suspend turbine engine operations at SMAC Field until the crops are harvested.  Unfortunately this means that turbine flying will not be an option at Sunday's annual picnic.  Please make plans accordingly.

The picnic is scheduled this Sunday (Sept 8) with open flying at 10 AM, and lunch served about 12 noon.  The club is providing meat and trimmings for hot dogs and burgers, and cold drinks.  Members are asked to bring a covered dish or other food item to share.
