SMAC FRIA Approved!
SMAC received the official word from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) that our club field has received FAA-Recognized Identification Area (FRIA) approval. This means that recreational fliers operating at our field will not be required to install Remote ID equipment. The FAA requires that both the unmanned aircraft and the operator remain within the FRIA boundaries, and the operator must be able to see the aircraft at all times during the flight.
