Winter, made glorious summer...by swap meet purchases!
SMAC NEWS: Our Richard the Second (of the Three Richards) Duke of Balsa and his intrepid fellow SMAC member David (yes...just David...isn't that sufficient for you?) ventured forth this weekend to the Mad River swap meet. And yea, they did find precious things!
All Shakespearean kidding aside, Rick and David found some cool stuff while venturing abroad. Rick bought a nice P-47 ARF:
David procured this nice Top Flite P-51.
David is in the running for Most Top Flite P-51's a Sane Person Can Own. Don't worry, he says. He will sell ONE at the Dayton Modelrama- it will even out. He also scored this nifty Cessna:
IN OTHER NEWS...
David has done an exemplary job fixing Chad's You Can't Can Do. Check out the awesome covering job...good-as-new! Ready to meet the beans, eh [redacted name]?
AND...David's Typhoon (yes, the weird British warbird with the gaping intake, but a kick-butt fighter) is taking on some new invasion stripes.
Last, but certainly not least, Richard (I believe he is the Third at the club, in terms of age) is nearly finished with his Robinhood 80. Power was installed after this photograph was taken. AWESOME Job Rick! You have definitely earned your Kit Building Badge. Now onto building a scratch-built B-52...
