Repairs (and a new bird, too!)

 Dave has been working on restoring Chad's U-Can't-Do into a U-Can-Do. The big bird lost a fight with gravity some months back, and Dave has his work cut out for him. Take a look...

The cowl looks like a broken mess, but Dave carefully glued it back together (and covered his fingertips with epoxy in the process). 

Not bad, eh? Needs some TLC, but otherwise Dave made a scrap back into a serviceable cowl. Nice! Next comes some major balsa surgery:

Looking forward to seeing the final result, Dave. Looks like the model is coming along great. Next up- Rick S. has made some significant progress on his Robin Hood 80 (resembles the Curtiss Robin). 

Covered and ready for power,  the big bird has come a long way since we saw the last pics of the project. Looking forward to seeing it and the other planes built by SMAC members at the field this summer!
