Dawn Patrol & A Skyraider

 SMAC was well represented at the biennial Dawn Patrol WWI event at the National Museum of the United States Air Force. What can be said, other than BIPLANES, and lots of them. Our own Richard B. brought his collection of giant scale warbirds to the event. Dr. Balsa had them all sorted out and flight ready for the event. (All photos courtesy of Rick B.)

In other news, Dr. Balsa debuted his new, 72" wingspan A-1 Skyraider today. It's powered by a 20 cc gas engine. Chad witnessed the maiden flight and says it's sweet flying bird.
