Saturday's Special? Hot Edamame

BEANED. Luckily, there were no broken parts and it flew again.
Our Gasser pilots were visiting another field today, so it was mainly an electric-powered day at SMAC. The weather was calm and sweat-dripping hot, but no complaints. The cold, clammy weather will be here soon enough.

We had a new pilot at the field today, which is always awesome. If you are looking for a place to fly before the yucky weather arrives, fill out our online membership form and stop by our field on our scheduled flying days- Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:00 PM, or Saturdays at 10:00 AM (when the weather is agreeable, of course).  If you have a current AMA membership, bring a model with you!

Members, remember to check out our events calendar. The club picnic and another night-flying event are coming up soon.

Here are the highlights from Saturday's high jinks...

An eclectic collection of models.
Kurt's "Bonnie"...
...Dave's "Bonnie".
Rick's FMS Corsair simply did not want to fly. Was it two broken props or three?
Fortunately, Rick brought along an Air Tractor and was able to enjoy some flying time.
Rob's old reliable P-38.
Ken flies with Dave in the copilot seat.
Dave's Fun Cub.
Everyone did a great job flying in the pattern– no close calls or flying against the traffic flow. Kurt's Turbo Timber is in the foreground.
