Friday Evening Highlights

Well, folks– the weather didn't fully cooperate with our planned night of illuminated flying, but it was still a decent evening of flying and camaraderie. Thanks to everyone that brought out picnic supplies and food– and to Dave, who again was complicit in eliminating 36 minutes (or more) from the lives of club members.
Although the gathering storm clouds dimmed the evening light and promised that rain was soon to come, we managed to get several hours of flying time in, and no dips into the beans! We did have a landing worth noting, though...

I'll save you, Rick- give me the hotdog!

Looking good! Gear down, flaring, up elevator...just needs to slow a bit more and put the full weight on the gear...
FULL STOP...
...FLIP!
Danny lands (expertly) after the wreckage is cleared.

The rain clouds finally reached the field around eight and ended the fun. Another chance for night flying in two weeks.
