June Starts with a Picnic!
To be precise: SMAC's annual Invitational Season's Start fly-in and picnic was held Saturday, June 1 at the field. Afternoon storms had been forecast but held off until after flying was over. Wind could have been a little calmer and aligned with the runway, but no one had serious problems with it.
Thanks to all the members who volunteered, as well as our guests who traveled from neighboring clubs. Pretty hard to beat a day in the sun with good food and model airplanes!
