Thanks For Coming

What a fantastic season opener for 2023!  Thank you to all our friends that came today. It was hot and windy, but we had an awesome array of planes on the flight line and some amazing flying. The picnic was one of the best in recent memory. Here are some highlights from the day's festivities...

Windy? What do you mean, windy?

Nearly two football fields worth of tents and cars.

Many great shots of this Flying Tigers P-40...too many to post.

Dr. Balsa showed us what this Hellcat can do. WOW!

The spotters have spotters.

Awesome formation flying by these giant warbird pilots...

...followed up by turbine jet aerobatics!

Gotta love a big Corsair!

Windy? Not for this guy. He greased the landing with his little Air Tractor!

What day of flying would be complete without at least one Piper Cub?

This bird was a challenge to photograph at (what had to be) nearly 100 mph.

Each hotdog takes five years off your life, but who's counting? Thanks for cooking, Chad!

This was definitely the best model of the day. The pilot even looks real!

The Best Pilot Award goes to this young man. Greased his first flight, in high winds, no less!

Up-down-sideways...I just about had an aneurysm trying to photograph this helicopter.

Electric 3-D!

...and many more photographs that will be made available at a future date. Thanks again for coming!
