The Boys of Summer are Back

I'm in- be there at 5:30.

I'll be there around 6:00.

The field corn is 6 inches tall. The cars slowly accumulate at the field- one truck, a van, a minivan, a crossover, and so on. The sun is shining– high 60's, mild wind, and a hazy sky. 

The killdeer is NOT happy- where did all these folks suddenly come from?

Some come to fly, some come to hang out- it's the best of times.

The corn field has been appeased...for the time being. This was a classic Azar kit plane that finally met the end after many years of great flights. 

"Fly it like you stole it, son."

The debut of Rick B.'s Hangar 9 D.VII Fokker. It's a big plane at 87" span.

Of course, Dr. Balsa quickly got the feel for the controls and put the plane through a series of aerobatics. A fantastic show to open the 2022 season.

Danny and Rob did a lap in formation- then he SMOKED Rob's P-38 with his Eflite Pulse like it was standing still. 

Chad and Alex prep the Bravata. It's an elegant aircraft and Chad flies it skillfully.

Hey kids, this is a nitro airplane field kit. People used to need all this equipment to fly a model airplane.
