Dawn Patrol Rendezvous at Springfield Airport

 September 24-27 marked the second Dawn Patrol Rendezvous event at Springfield-Beckley Municipal Airport.  Weather was misty and drizzling through Thursday but turned fair and warmer for the weekend.  SMAC was well represented with a selection of 1/6 scale electric powered models plus 1/4 and 1/3 scale gassers.  As before, we had to cross an active taxiway to reach the mown grass flying area, which was only a few hundred feet from a runway, so close coordination with full scale operations was required.
