Dayton Air Show 2025

Your editor Jim R. once again braved the heat and humidity to record some of the action at this year's Dayton Air Show.  Now that he's officially a senior citizen he opted for Pavilion seating which includes an umbrella table for sun relief.  Too far back for low passes but there was still plenty of good flying action.  Judge for yourself:

With Canadian performers the Army Golden Knights presented both national flags, then demonstrated the full capabilities of their equipment.

The Goodyear Blimp seen from an unexpected angle

Tom Larkin in the Mini-Jet

Wing walker Carol Pilon from Canada

This act was billed as "T-34 x 10", but I count thirteen...

No, it's not a midair collision - it's the Red Bull Air Force!  Here's some more of what they did:

Next up was Bob Carlton in the Fox Jet - a jet powered sailplane.  Very graceful.

"Doc" the B-29 (Fifi needs new engines, CAF will be happy to take your donation):

No, Doc did not explode or collide with an erupting volcano; it was all part of the pyro display

Randy Ball brought three beautiful MiG-17s - if "beautiful MiG" isn't an oxymoron...

Brian Correll in the Pitts S2S.  This guy flew like a 3D model plane!

And of course, the headline act - the incomparable USAF Thunderbirds!
