SMAC at Cincy Dawn Patrol

 

SMAC members Steve B. and Jim R. represented the WWI RFC/RAF with a selection of 1/6 scale electric powered models at the Fall Dawn Patrol.  This even is hosted by the Cincy Aeromodellers at their field in the Whitewater River valley near Harrison, OH (northwest of Cincinnati).

The spirit of Halloween was evident with this skeletal machine gunner covering the intersection of the two grass runways.  A paved strip is also available (seen in the background).

Steve's DH-2 pusher garnered considerable interest.  Most of the other models were larger and gas or glow powered, with some owners remarking that we were having too much fun!

The weather was superb, everyone was very friendly and we look forward to returning next year.
