SMAC Hangar News

More SMAC member hangar news:

Dave S. took a break from his P-39 build to do some repairs to his Typhoon. One landing gear mount took a hard hit some time ago, and he's trying to get the bird airborne again. It has a sheeted and glassed foam core wing that will need some careful rebuilding. More to come!
Rob C. is working on electrifying a sweet 73" wingspan vintage Piper Comanche model. The battery placement, motor, and esc have been installed, and now he's patching up the holes in the cowl where the nitro engine used to protrude.
He used polystyrene sheeting and epoxy to fill the holes in the plastic cowl. The filled holes were then glazed over with automotive spot putty. Next up- primer, some light sanding, and paint.
Last, but certainly the best- Chad S. shows off his awesome modified Eachine E160 helicopter.
He mounted a Boeing-Sikorsky Comanche body on the airframe, and made a modified tail rotor to fit. Slick work, Chad!
