Did you know that Springfield used to be an international center of model aviation? SMAC helped direct international competitions at the Springfield Municipal airport! Or– that the Academy of Model Aeronautics was considering moving their headquarters to Springfield?  

Are you old enough to remember when the mall was the center of the community? Yeah, THAT Mall...the giant empty building on the outskirts of town!
