Annual Inspection? YES!

Hey Folks- spring is here and it's time to get the planes out of the hangar. Before you charge up batteries and head to the flying field, make sure to give your models a thorough inspection, just like the full-scale birds. An annual inspection will refresh your familiarity with your models and catch mechanical and electrical issues that can cause crashes and safety hazards.

It's tempting to give models a quick shakedown just before going to the field, but you are likely to be in a hurry and overlook important items. Take the time do a proper check of all your models, and follow a checklist to insure you are checking each model throughly. You could be preventing a miserable day at the field, a destroyed model, or at worst, damaged property and injury.
Proper pre-flight checks avoid disasters like this. Luckily, it happened over the flying field.

Remember, your model is an aircraft, and should be treated with the same care and consideration as a full-scale airplane. If you find a mechanical issue with a model, don't fly it until it is properly repaired or replaced.
