2018 Invitational Picnic

Thanks to all of our friends from the greater Miami Valley rc model flying community that came to the 2018 SMAC Invitational Picnic. We had a great turnout and the weather was perfect! Here are a few highlights from the event:
The flight line was packed! Model aviation enthusiasts from Miami RC, Brookville Flying Aero Sport Team, Celina Radio Control Club, and the Urbana Flying Association joined our members  for a fun day of flying, food, and camaraderie.
The Shaw father-son team manned the grill again this year to provide everyone some tasty flame-broiled burgers and dogs. Thanks guys!
There were aircraft flying continually throughout the day. Chad flew a nice inverted pass down the runway with his gas-powered U-Can-Do.
This pilot flew a classic Kadet Senior with a Saito four-stroke, which looked and sounded like a full-scale plane in the air.

Gary impressed the crowd again this year with his jet and helicopter piloting skills. Photos couldn't capture the coolness of his jaw-dropping 3-D helicopter display.
The day wouldn't have been complete without Rick wringing out a plane.
One of the F.A.S.T. members prepares his Stearman for flight.
Another awesome show of piloting skill finished. There was no shortage of impressive flying skill displays at the picnic!
